Cheryl - Calgary, Alberta Free Spirit Photographer
We spent the entire drive out to our location in awe at how beautiful a summer night in Alberta really can be; we watched as the summer sun basked the land--as far as the eye could see--in the softest orange-yellow light. We caught up on life, and talked about how it's evenings like these--filled with a quiet breeze, a glowing landscape, and the most incredibly overwhelming sense of calm that make our winters worth it; everything about an Alberta summer makes it so very worth it. We parked the truck on the side of the road, took off our shoes, and started barefoot into the forest. The sound of rushing water got louder as we neared the river bed, and we found ourself alone, surrounded solely by nature, as we dipped our toes into the mountain water.
Cheryl is the epitome of a free spirit; a gracious, and wildhearted girl. She's filled with overwhelming beauty, has an honest spirit, and a yearning for adventure. During her session, we waded through the waters, chasing the summer sun as it made it's descent behind the mountain tops. I think we all found our dwelling place that evening; Cheryl, Mark, and myself. It was as though we were effortlessly at peace, feeding off of one-another creatively, and simply embracing this incredible place that we get to call home.
This is where we belong. This is where we are souls catch fire. This is where we find ourselves.
