Kaihla + Mark - Our Legal Marriage Ceremony
There aren't too many words that could possibly express how these photos make me feel. I think that maybe, as a photographer, we become so used to the task of taking photos that we forget the impact that they can, and usually do have, on the people we are photographing. We forget the magic that an image has the capability to hold, the memories that are squeezed into a single still frame, or the feelings that were felt as the exact moment that an image was captured. It sounds kind of cheesy, made up, or exaggerated, but it's the honest truth; scrolling through this day that Teresa captured for us truly allows me (& us) to relive all that happened + more on June 23rd, 2015. My heart aches with the purest of gratitudes. For this day, these memories, my sister + brother in law, these images, Teresa, Mark, Mother Nature, and simply the craft of photography. **if you're looking at this post and going "ummmm I thought your wedding was in July....??", then I'd love to send you over here to read this post first sot hat we can get you up to speed :) **also, Teresa blogged about our day over here as well if you feel like giving that a read + scroll.
Teresa, thank you for being there on that day with us. Thank you for loving Mark and I, and for being able to capture the both of us in our truest forms. Thank you for fitting right into our family. Thank you for your laughter, as well as your talent. Thank you for being a part of our lives.
These goons are a few of my most favourite people on this planet; THANKYOU for being there with us, goodness we love you three so much. p.s apparently Teresa didn't get the ugly face memo post-tacos in the bottom right image; she's just down there looking all cute while the rest of us are looking nuts hahah.
