Monthly Goals - March
Coming back from the UNITED photography conference that was held in Santa Barbara, California this past week, has left me with such a bittersweet feeling. I spent three full days, quietly absorbing immense amounts of information, and even though it was one of the most mentally draining weeks I have ever been apart of, I'd do it all over again this instant if I could. At the same time, I'd be lying if I told you that I wasn't eager to come back home; not only did I want to already begin implementing the things I had learned into my photography as well as my daily life, but I also started to feel super overwhelmed with the entire atmosphere. I will forever be thankful for all of the insanely talented and welcoming creatives I met this past week, but I'd be fooling you if I said that constantly being around a sea of 400 people wasn't a bit exhausting for an introvert such as I. I've come home with a quietly, soulful, and courageous heart eager to start putting to use all of this inspiration that has built itself up inside of my soul. I am SUPER excited to share a lot more on the conference later this week, but for now I just wanted to share a few of the March goals I have set out for myself. It's been a few months since I've physically blogged about my monthly goals, but I'd love to get back into the habit of sharing my ambitions with you all--I hope you share yours with me too!
My goals for March 2014 - Come up with & start working on a gratitude project. I used to use the "Gratitude Diary" app on my phone every single day, and to this day don't remember why I ever stopped. It was a great way to jot down one thing that I was thankful for that day, and I would really love to not only get back into that app, but also to kickstart something bigger. I have an incredible friend who's been doing a gratitude project of her own, and can I just say that I've felt the gratitude and love of her project first hand! What an incredible habit that we should all practice a bit more.
- I will start looking into and practicing calligraphy! I don't necessarily want to become a pro typographer, but I would just love to better my skill at hand writing. We used to have a super old calligraphy set in the kitchen of my childhood home, I wonder if it's still there.....
- I will book 4 more portrait sessions for this month. Yes, I know, the weather is UNBEARABLE, but it's "supposed" to warm up next week....
- I will start working on my BRAND NEW portrait/blog series that I have been dreaming up for a while now!! I cannot WAIT for this process to get started!
Let me know if there's any goals that YOU have this month that you'd like help working on! I'm all for serving each other with our own gifts, so please let me know if there's anything I can do to help you achieve your March goals.
