Wild Hearted Wanderings -- Emily {June 24, 2015}

My most overused phrase this past year has been that "I cannot believe how incredible social media is to be able to connect us with other like-minded creatives." I know that I reiterate that sentence so frequently, but I'm continually fascinated by our ability to make these connections and then go on to spend time with those in our lives who we may not have ever met otherwise. kaihla_tonai_intimate_wedding_elopement_photographer_1680

Last Wednesday, Emily drove down to Calgary from Lacombe for a Wild Hearted Wanderings session. After the usual pit stop at Phil & Sebastian in Mission, we loaded into the truck and set off towards the mountains. Since we ventured out to Canmore on a weekday, we were able to do the Grass Lakes walk/hike without too many other people filling up the trail; if you're looking for an entry level (& short) hike around the Calgary area, Grassi Lakes is definitely an awesome starting point (just avoid the weekends if you can haha it can get really really busy!). We stopped for lunch at my favourite Canmore cafe--Communitea--and then continued exploring around Canmore before making our way back into Calgary later that evening. I am so incredibly grateful for these incredible women who allow me to come into their lives; being a stay-at-home business owner can often be a lonely and isolating lifestyle, but lately my days have been filling up with some of the most courageous, savvy, strong-hearted, and beautiful women, and I am so thankful that Emily is part of that tribe.
